Applying For Funding Workshop
Thursday 5th February
11:00am-12:30pm
Online via Zoom
With a focus on Arts Council funding, this workshop contains a wealth of tips and advice for artists from all disciplines applying for funding. You deserve it!
Past Workshops and Training
In partnership with festivals and venues, we deliver in-person workshops for producers and artists.
These workshops are 60-120 minutes. Topics include outlining the role and responsibilities of a producer, from the money to the venues to the audiences. Other times they are more conversational, exploring how we form connections within our industry, and the key role producers can play in those connections.
The workshops are shaped around the needs of those in the room, with the key goal being to empower artists to take control of their own work and to increase their skills, knowledge and confidence around producing topics.
In 2024 we delivered 8 free online workshops on a variety of producing topics to over 250 artists and producers, followed by a further 5 in 2025.
Topics were: Applying for Funding, Venues and Touring, Audiences and Marketing, Contracts with Venues and Artists, Strategic Planning and Networking, Budgeting and Financial Management, Communication and Conflict, and Access for Artists and Audiences.

PRODUCING
YOUR WAY
Producing Your Way is a six week course for early career producers or self-producing artists with a performing arts practice. The course took place over 6 weeks from 11 October to 22 November 2024 with weekly group Zoom sessions as well as tasks to complete between sessions. We covered all the basics of producing- financial management, contracts, marketing, tour booking- as well as having important conversations and discussions around how producing can support artist wellbeing and values, and looked in detail at practical templates including access riders, budgets, press releases and much much more.
We hope to run the course again in the future, watch this space!
